Fran’s still fighting for Akron.

Fran is a 4th gen Akronite, a young and queer progressive organizer in Akron, Ohio.

In 2023, Fran ran for Akron City Council At-Large, the only one under 40.

Fran lost, but came in 5th, garnering 5,654 votes and raising over $20,000 from grassroots, local donors.

I do my homework. And I’m a regular at City Hall.

I’ve helped pass a local nondiscrimination ordinance and served as an Akron Civil Rights Commissioner.

I’ve been tear gassed while protesting, spent early mornings on court support for fellow Justice for Jayland protestors, and late nights on neighborhood watches when the city overpoliced Highland Square.

I’ve organized alongside neglected tenants at Timbertop, environmentalists of Save White Pond, citizens fighting against the LaDue fracking deal, unhoused neighbors displaced from city encampment sweeps, and survivors of police brutality.
